LEAP Entrepreneurs Mentoring Board (LEAP-EMB) programme is an executive education initiative of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), designed for entrepreneurs and professionals who aspire to build scalable, future-ready organisations rooted in India's growth story.

The programme is delivered through a residential executive education programme format and integrates leadership development, strategic thinking, brand building, and digital transformation into a single, cohesive learning journey.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme is delivered through a modular, immersive format:

  • The programme is delivered across five modules of two days each, scheduled from July to November, creating a structured and immersive learning journey for participants.
  • Delivered across IIM Ahmedabad campus and curated learning environments.
  • Combination of classroom sessions, case discussions, workshops, and field exposure.

MASTERCLASS

Power-packed, experiential sessions led by IIMA faculty and visiting experts, covering business and leadership dimensions.

Prof. Vishal Gupta

Faculty Chairperson, LEAP-EMB Professor, Organisational Behaviour Area

Vishal Gupta is a professor at IIM Ahmedabad (IIMA). His research has been published in international and national journals of repute and has been covered by national dailies and magazines such as the Times of India, Financial Express, Economic Times, Hindu Business Line, DNA, Mint, People Matters and Business World.

Vishal has been honoured with awards from Indian and international agencies including the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation award (2013-14) by the European Federation for Management Development, India's 25 young HR leaders (2013) by People Matters, the Emerging Psychologist award (2014) by the National Academy of Psychology India and the Young Scientist Award (2016) by the National Academy of Sciences India and Scopus (Elsevier).

Vishal's 'Leadership Skills' course on the Coursera platform (course link: https://www.coursera.org/learn/leadershipskills) has been subscribed by more than 240,000 individuals from around the world and has been ranked as the top 3 leadership courses of all time on the Coursera platform.

Rajeev Malik

Rajeev Malik

Co-Chairperson and Faculty - LEAP-EMB Visiting Faculty, IIMA Former Advisor to the Business Head & Former Vice-President - Marketing, Mahindra Commercial Vehicles Business Unit

Rajeev Malik is a seasoned, award-winning brand, strategy, marketing & sales professional with over 34 years of corporate experience (1988-2022), including international exposure, with global brands such as Toyota and Lexus and leading Indian brands like Tatas and Mahindras, where he was the Vice President - Marketing and till recently, served as the Advisor to the Business Head of Mahindra Commercial Vehicles.

Earlier in his career, he also nurtured brands such as Eureka Forbes, Blue Star and Modi Xerox in marketing and sales roles. He was also the Vice-President of TNS Automotive, a marketing research firm of KANTAR group. In 2022, Rajeev set up his own firm, ONLY LADDERS, as a Brand Strategist, Business Advisor, Educator and Corporate Speaker/ Trainer, with "Making Tough Brand Climbs Easy" as his brand's purpose. Currently, he is the visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad for PGP (MBA Program) for courses on Leadership skills, Brand, Marketing & Sales as well as a course on Mindfulness & Inner Engineering. He is also the co-chair and co-instructor of IIMA's LEAP Entrepreneurs' Mentoring Board (LEAP-EMB) programme.

Vineet Virmani

Prof. Vineet Virmani

Associate Professor, Finance & Accounting Area, IIM, Ahmedabad

Vineet Virmani is an associate professor in the Finance & Accounting area at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He holds a doctorate in economics from IIMA and a degree in mechanical engineering from IIT (BHU). His research and teaching interests include pricing of derivatives and fixed income securities, risk management and volatility modeling.

Prof. Virmani engages actively with the industry, and during the year 2021-22, he worked at the National Stock Exchange Clearing corporation on leave from the Institute. Before joining the Institute in 2011, he was with Nomura Services India Limited where he worked with their model validation team as a risk quant. He has also had brief stints at the erstwhile Bank of America Continuum, Dell International Services, the Indian School of Business after his PhD, and with Tata Motors after his engineering.

Mayank Varshney

Prof. Mayank Varshney

Assitant Professor, Strategy Area IIM, Ahmedabad

Mayank Varshney is assistant professor of strategy at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He holds a PhD in Strategy and Policy from NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. His teaching spans strategy, capstone, business simulation, and international business, with research focused on organisational learning, technology management, and firm growth.

Associate Professor, Information Systems Area IIM, Ahmedabad

Samrat Gupta is associate professor in the information systems area at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. His research focuses on network analytics, digital platforms, crowdsourcing, and Al-driven organisational transformation. He works at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and digital innovation, helping organisations become future ready and data-driven.
